"Rosslyn", 14, Trefleur Close, Boscastle, Cornwall

Spacious, detached, 3 bedroom bungalow with gardens and off road parking in the upper village of Boscastle near the coastal path.

Situated at the end of a very quiet cul de sac, "Rosslyn" is a spacious, detached, 3 bedroomed bungalow. My family home for 20 years it is being offered for the first time as a holiday rental and guests will enjoy the comfort of a real 'home from home' with quality furnishings and a very well equipped house. Occupying a generous corner plot, "Rosslyn" offers a sweeping red-bricked driveway allowing off-road parking for several vehicles, three different patio areas so that you can follow the Cornish sunshine and a very private, secluded garden with medieval dry-stone walls, lawn and various shrubs. The garden has views of Forrabury Church, as featured in the BBC series "A Seaside Parish" and is just a few minutes walk from the coastal path which runs the entire length of the Cornish coastline.

Trefleur Close is in the upper part of Boscastle and a 10 minute walk will take you either to the Bottreaux Restaurant or the Napolean Inn, a 16th Century pub/restaurant offering excellent food, live music and entertainment. The beautiful Elizabethan harbour can be found in the lower part of the village and has souvenir shops, arts and crafts boutiques, antique shop, tearooms serving traditional clotted cream teas, two more pub/restaurants the Cobweb and the Wellington with weekly live music and good, reasonably priced meals (2 course meal for two people in the Cobweb, £10), the Boscastle pottery and the famous witchcraft museum which holds the largest collection in the world. You can walk to the harbour in about 20 mins but the return is rather steep and would be difficult for anyone with walking difficulties. Alternatively a couple of minutes in the car will take you to the lower village where there is a large visitor's car park. A small beach can be found at Bossiney Cove, 2 miles away on the road to Tintagel, also accessible from the coastal path and there is a surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand which is about 7 miles away. Tintagel, 5 miles, has a range of shops and is also home to the legendary King Arthur with the Great Halls and medieval castle. Local buses run regularly between Boscastle and Tintagel or Crackington Haven allowing guests to walk the coastal path one way and use public transport for the return. Cornwall has so much to offer visitors and is a popular holiday destination. "Rosslyn" has a good selection of leaflets and maps full of ideas for day trips and visits ranging from beautiful gardens and mansions to retail therapy and theme parks. There is a fabulous choice of food in North Cornwall from freshly caught mackerel in Boscastle and clotted cream teas to the more sophisticated restaurants of Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver in neighbouring Padstow. Rick Stein's fish and chip shop claims to be the best in Cornwall and is competitively priced at £8 per person (arrive early and be prepared for very long queues!).

Although "Rosslyn" is not equipped with handrails, ramps etc it has been used by a permanent wheelchair user and could well be suitable for a disabled person (each case is different so please phone to discuss details).
